Wow, the best ever🎶🎶
This song was my initiation into the Allman Brothers. But, I was primed by my Father and his love of jazz especially Coltrane, Monk, and Davis.
Sadly, too much Jagger on screen while guitar solos were on the move
Jordan can play with anyone!
Not much has changed in principle. Women have always had to perform in suggestive or flirtatious dances in popular culture. This isn't that different to what happens in pop culture today.
Used to listen to the Fillmore East album all the time in early 70s.
Back to their roots and club venue 👍
Charming 👍👏👏
Besides Betty Grable, future opera star Dorothy Kirsten is singing in the chorus.
Doesn't that set in the back look similar to the female anatomy. Couldn't be a mistake. Daring.
All that feminin pulcratude. Yawhee.
Sort of like the pre-game ralleys in High School? Where some of the HS babes would have a routine? Or NYC, or Hollywood? A show, show like with Judy Garlen? In the 1930s?
Awe
it's time for mick to feed pigeons in the park
Disgusting and por-no-graf-ic. The collapse of morals, on display. Signs of the Antichrist, and godlessness. Probably communism. So, where can I see more of this? Asking for the Ladies Adjunct Purity Committee, of course.
❤❤❤❤❤🐺🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😈😈😈😈😈
To think, year for year, this is closer to my birth than my birth is to me today…time is a funny thing!
This only footage of a Chromatic Harmonica player I've seen in my life that warrants any praise. I hate the instrument. Always have done. And in fifty five years of watching live music, always used it's inclusion in any live set to head for the bar for another pint. This demonstration of its capabilities by Jagger is one exception, and while I'm delighted to have discovered this extract from the Marquee session, I really wish I had been at the front of the stage to watch this performance. And those who were regulars at that sinful venue will know too well what a sacrifice that could be. Lovely video. Keep safe all. Nick the Wizard.🎸
Brian Jones early Stones was their best musician. Too bad he got fired and drown by some pissed off construction worker in his own pool.
I love this kind of shit so much.
1970? No way this is 1970
This number reminds me so much of the “All I Do Is Dream Of You” number in Singin’ in the Rain. The costumes, the choreography, even the tune look and sound so much like that Debbie Reynolds number.
They are copying many steps from black dancers like Josephine Baker.
Awesome team sport!
Looks like Busby Berkeley dance numbers, and stage work. He was the KING of early film choreography. Hasn't been anyone like him since.
this is one of many numbers why ive been listening to allman brothers for45 years its just amazing!!!!!!!!!!
God bless you Duane Allman for your talent and sharing with the world. Gone way too friggin soon. Still listening every night in 2024.
Having heard the album version thousands of times, I like this take as a benchmark of greatness. And to see them performing is heartwarming.
I was an okay dancer but could only wish I could dance like those girls.
QUINTESSETIAL ABB GOD BESS THEM ALL
Alive Dead- Stones will Play Their Qays- Long Live Sir Charlie- glad to attend 5 wild Jams- Thanks To All Who Put These aRecordings- Makes Life Better
Keith looks pissed..
so gorgeous!
Duane Greg Dickey and the unbelievable boys I loved so much just thank you forever
How good was Mick on that gob-iron? Fabulous stuff.
Anyone that’s comes across this in 2024 I hope you realize what magic you are witnessing. These guys were on a different plain of musical talent. And you will never see it again.
I lived in Macon, GA for awhile in the late 90's. People there regularly talk about the Allman Brothers. I learned the back story of this particular song. The story is that the band hung out and did drugs at the Rose Hill Cemetery (a place that people usually didn't go to, which made it a good place to drink and party). Elizabeth Reed is buried there. They didn't know anything about her, and they thought it a shame that no one cared. So they wrote a tune for her. Today, Daune Allman and Barry Oakley (bass player) are buried side by side at Rose Hill.
Anne Pennington, a great Ziegfeld star I never thought I'd see dance. Thanks to RUclips, no problem! She ended up dying, not exactly well off, as her film career never took off, and her dance roles diminished as she aged. It was said she "became a familiar but unfortunate presence in the lobby of the Times Square Hotel and at the Horn & Hardart automat, often seen sitting alone with a cup of coffee." When she died at 77 the Actors Fund and Benevolent Guild paid for her funeral and plot. Sigh!
The whole thing is rather ungainly to me...Not a fan...
nobody had them snakehips like Ann
OG
Great singing but they needed the lead synth to be louder/clearer because it normally does a sort of call and responce with the voacls. They sound a bit lonley here
It's live. Shit happens
What key is this? The sawmill key😉😉😉
Midnight Rambler is a freaking Masterpiece 🎉🎉. The harmonica in this is simply bad ass 🎉🎉. Mick you and the stones are 2nd to none 🎉🎉

Brilliant
Wonderful clip! Thank you so much. Love it!
Thank God for the Stones. Amen.
Mick could have played the harp with Robert Johnson!
🤔 What a waste of talent all for Men, what a Waste. 🙏🏼
I wish I could have seen them live.
